What do i do? my boyfriend & I got into a really bad fight and he said he doesn't want to be with me anymore.?

my boyfriend and i have been together for over a year and we tell each other all the time that we love each other and want to get married when we're a little older. all kinds of stuff like that. but earlier today we got into a huge fight and now he's ignoring me. my boyfriend is the type of guy to say really mean stuff when he's mad, kinda like he's trying to blow off steam. so with this fight; he said he doesn't wanna be with me anymore. he's said this before, so i don't know what to do. he's ignoring me and won't respond to any of my texts. i understand that i can sometimes come on too strong with our relationship. he would rather hang up on me and ignore me for a day then answer my call and talk through our disagreement and just get it over with. he knows what makes me mad and it seems like he just does those things to make me mad on purpose. i really do love him with all my heart because if i didn't; i would already be gone. we fight alot and i understand alot about how he is when he's mad but i'm not sure how to handle this. should i just wait it out and what for him to text or call me first or should i try getting ahold of him? because i'm not sure if he was serious when he said he doesn't wanna be with me anymore or if he just said it out of anger. i'm scared of what he might do while he's not talking to me. i'd really love some help with this.
